Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 June 2026
Aviora ("we", "us") builds an AI travel companion that helps you plan and enjoy trips. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to keep your travel data yours.
1. Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email address when you create an account, used to sign you in and personalise greetings.
- Trip & preference data — itineraries you generate, saved trips, interests, pace and budget preferences. Some personal preferences (dietary requirements, passport nationality, visas you hold and their expiry dates, packing choices) are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Location — if you grant permission, your device location powers live features (your position on the map, nearby places, arrival detection). Location is used in the moment and is not sold or used for advertising.
- Usage & diagnostics — anonymised product analytics and crash reports help us improve reliability and decide what to build.
2. How we use your information
- To generate and personalise your itineraries and recommendations.
- To provide live, on-the-ground features such as the map companion and nearby suggestions.
- To operate, secure, debug and improve the app.
- To communicate with you about the service (e.g. early access, important updates).
3. Third-party services
To deliver core features we share the minimum necessary data with trusted providers, each under their own privacy terms:
- Supabase — secure account, authentication and trip storage.
- AI providers (e.g. Groq, Google Gemini, OpenAI, Mistral, OpenRouter, Cerebras) — your trip request details are sent to generate itineraries and assistant replies.
- Google Places — to fetch ratings, opening hours and prices for places you view.
- OpenWeather — to provide weather forecasts for your destinations.
- PostHog (analytics) and Sentry (crash reporting) — anonymised usage and error data.
- Travelpayouts — affiliate tracking that lets us earn a commission when you book travel through links in the app or on this site, at no extra cost to you. It may set cookies to attribute bookings.
- Mapping & visa data — open data sources (OpenStreetMap, CARTO, the Passport Index dataset) power the map and visa guidance.
4. Visa & travel guidance
Visa and travel information in Aviora is guidance only and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm requirements with the official embassy or immigration authority before you book or travel.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and trip data while your account is active. You can delete your trips, reset your travel profile, or request account deletion at any time, after which we remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable period. Data stored locally on your device is removed when you delete it or uninstall the app.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
7. Children
Aviora is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information and limit access to it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
